NOTTER supplies you not only with high-quality tools but also with the ideal solutions. It often turns out that problems with tools are caused by the process or the press. Our experienced engineers provide you with expert and comprehensive advice on all application-related topics, from the design and material definition to the exact determination of the weight, volume and surface of the tableting tool as well as the optimum production parameters for the tablet presses in which the tool is used.
We are happy to analyze specific problems and their causes with your team on site and develop a tailor-made solution to help you get to grips with corrosion, adhesion, abrasive products or high pressing forces. Let our application engineer advise you in a face-to-face meeting.
NOTTER supplies you not only with high-quality tools but also with the ideal complete solutions. We advise you in detail on all process optimization options, from tablet design to tool specifications, and also take into account the upstream processes. You will also quickly receive expert answers to all other questions, from the cleaning process to material and coating selection through to the use of FEM simulations. It often turns out that problems with tools are caused by the process or the press. We help you with the appropriate certifications in the event of production conversions and audits. We provide you with the relevant certificates for all the materials and processes we use. This provides you with legally compliant proof of important product properties such as biocompatibility and suitability for food contact. We produce cleaning recommendations and guidelines for handling the tools for your internal protocols.
NOTTER holds numerous patents. We owe this to our decades of experience and a strong development department. Punches, dies, segments – we develop all of our tools ourselves. Most of the material alloys and coatings have also been developed in-house. Many innovations are driven by customer requirements that cannot be optimally fulfilled using resources available on the market, which is why we place such a high value on customer relationships based on partnership. Taking into account the technical conditions and systems, our application engineers develop all of the components – from the tablet design to tools, materials and coatings – precisely tailored to each process. Always with the aim of generating maximum output, achieving reliable operation and producing consistent results.
If you involve us in the project at an early stage, we will work with you to develop a tablet design that is tailored to the process and optimized in terms of size and imprint. Special shapes are also no problem. Good tablet design plays a crucial role in ensuring that a coating can be applied problem-free and helps to prevent imprints and tablet edges becoming chipped – known as picking and sticking. When developing the new tablet shape, we naturally take into account customer-specific targets, such as weight or packaging specifications.
So you have opted for a NOTTER solution? Once the new tool has been delivered, our application consultant Harald Römer will guide you through the entire implementation process – from installation to the optimum setting of the machine parameters. Mr. Römer has experience as a development engineer for tablet presses and has worked in the industry for over 30 years. During test operation, he checks the results and gives you important tips on process optimization with the aim of maximizing performance in your production process.
The sustainable use of resources is important to us. We therefore offer you the opportunity to send us your used tools for inspection and reconditioning. We analyze signs of wear on tools and coatings and repair the damage as long as it makes economic sense to do so. Our experience has shown that regular checks of this kind can massively extend the service life of tools. We therefore recommend that you have this service carried out regularly on all tool sets.
